A Color of His Own by Leo Lionni is such a beautiful story about learning to love yourself just the way you are. It is one of my favorite books to share in the spring, especially when we are learning about animal groups and amphibians in science.

This book companion is packed with engaging comprehension strategies that can easily be differentiated for your learners. Students will practice important reading skills while completing writing extensions, word work activities, and even a few fun math games that connect to the story.

To wrap it all up, students can create an adorable chameleon craft and display their work with the included bulletin board letters for a colorful classroom display.
