I’m so excited to share some exciting news with you! Today the doors opened for the First Grade Roars Teacher Club! I wanted to be able to give teachers AMAZING resources at a great value! If you are a first grade teacher, this club is for you!
First Grade Roars Teacher Club
Who remembers The Mailbox magazine? I loved subscribing to this and getting loads of new ideas every month. It was a great surprise that I looked forward to monthly. The First Grade Roars Teacher Club will be similar to this! On the first of each month, there will be a new folder full of things you can print and use in your classroom right away! Let me show you what is in the February folder waiting for you right now!
Phonics Activities
For phonics, math, and grammar I have included games, printables, and sorts. Each month the skills will vary and will be mapped out on a standard’s checklist. You can use them as practice, in centers, as morning tubs, or however they fit into your curriculum.

All activities can be printed in black and white as well as color!
Reading Comprehension Activities
A HUGE part of the membership will be reading comprehension too. Each month I will add two paired passages with comprehension questions and a compare and contrast activity. I will also pick a picture book to provide activities for too. In addition, I will cover that poetry standard with a custom poem that focuses on both fluency and comprehension. Finally, you will get a bunch of non-fiction text activities too. Sometimes they will go with a book, and sometimes I will write the book.
This month I have included a mini book on hedgehogs with several activities to go with it!
Crafts
We love crafts in first grade! I will also include a monthly craft and letters to make a fun bulletin board. No stress on you to come up with the idea, it will be done for you!
Games or Movement Breaks
Last, kids need to move and love games. I will be adding a fun movement break activity or game you can play with your entire class. Of course it will be educational. It will also help get those wiggles out and there will have fun too!

Oops! I forgot to mention I love to share and give you extra surprises! Each month there will be goodies in the bonus folder too. Check out the bonuses for February!

I am so happy that I came across your blog! The resources that you have posted above are wonderful. I really like the phonics activities. In first grade, phonics is such a big focus, so having fun activities for the students is awesome. I also really love your comprehension activities. I can't wait to check more of your stuff out in the TpT store!
