The Good The Bad & The Spooky is an absolutely adorable Halloween story that teaches a great message to the readers. This fun book will engage your students as they follow the Bad Seed’s journey to finding the true meaning and spirit of Halloween. This Seed activity pack is filled with comprehension strategies to focus on the Common Core State Standards. There are also writing and word work activities. Students will have fun creating the Seed in a Squirrel Costume too.

Are you looking for a fun Halloween activity to complete with your students. Monster in a cup is the perfect Frankenstein snack to make with them and also work on academic goals. You can use the mini book provided to follow the directions to make this yummy snack. While you make it, you will read directions, work on teamwork and end up with something delicious. Your students can also predict, survey, graph, sequence and do a little math with their data. In addition, there is a fun monster in cup craft with bulletin board letters, class graphing tools, and differentiated writing ideas. This nonfiction unit is filled with activities to teach your students all about squirrels and work on the reading informational text standards. I love to learn about squirrels in November when they are busy gathering all the acorns in our area. It includes a mini reader that will teach them all about squirrels with a matching colorful book with real photos. This real book can be projected via the digital google link, downloaded as a powerpoint or shared as a pdf. You could even print it and put it in your classroom library. There are so many fun comprehension activities to complete after you read the story. You could do the included research project, make a fun squirrel paper topper craft, or complete the word work and writing activities. There are loads of goodies in this resource to become squirrel experts.

In this October Math & ELA Mega Halloween task car

In this October Math & ELA Mega Halloween task card bundle, you will receive 12 sets of 30 cards to work on identifying the number of syllables in a word, identifying nouns, decoding short a words, identifying the vowel in a cvc word, writing the correct r blend, and identifying the digraph from a picture, subtracting from 15, subtracting from 10, identifying 2D shapes, identifying a number given base 10 blocks with tens and ones, comparing 2digit numbers with greater than, less than, or equal sign, and identifying a number using ten frames while working one counting on from ten. Students will record their answers on a recording sheet. The cards come 4 per page in both color and black and white. There are directions included if you would like to make them smaller or larger. You could use these cards as an assessment, for morning tubs, in centers, for fast finishers, as a scoot activity, or as a movement break when placed around the classroom. Answer keys are included.
