🍎🛒 How cute is this Apples in a Wagon craft for fa 🍎🛒 How cute is this Apples in a Wagon craft for fall?!

This is such a fun activity for apple week, September, October, or a fall bulletin board. Students can create their wagon as a regular craft, use the tear or no-tear option, or turn it into a fun glyph where they follow directions and share a little about themselves.

Add a writing activity and you have an adorable display that’s meaningful too! 🍏❤️

Some of my favorite bulletin board sayings are “We Are One Sweet Bunch!”, “I Picked the Sweetest Class!”, and “Apple-solutely Awesome!”

Perfect for adding a little fall fun to your classroom while building creativity and classroom community. 🍂🍎

🐭💙 First-day worries? Wemberly gets it! Wemberly 🐭💙 First-day worries? Wemberly gets it!

Wemberly Worried by Kevin Henkes is one of those back-to-school read-alouds that opens the door to such meaningful conversations about worries, feelings, and those first-day jitters we all experience.

This companion turns Wemberly’s story into days of engaging learning with comprehension, writing, word work, math connections, colorful posters, and TWO adorable crafts! Students will work on skills like predicting, sequencing, problem and solution, character analysis, text evidence, main idea, retelling, and more.
And the Worry Jar is one of my favorite parts! 💙 It gives students a safe and simple way to share some of the worries they may be bringing into the classroom while helping you build that classroom community from day one.

BONUS: This resource is also included in my Kevin Henkes Author Study Bundle AND Back-to-School Bundle! 🙌

“Great activities to use with this story. This is one of my favorite back to school stories.”

“This is a great resource!! I used the activities to go with the story at the beginning of the school year, as there are lots of worries at that time of year. The activities and story helped to calm my students. Thank you for creating this.”

✨ I sure am missing that back-to-school magic this ✨ I sure am missing that back-to-school magic this year! ❤️🍎

If you’re looking for a wonderful story to start the year with a growth mindset, The Magical Yet is one of my favorites! It reminds students that just because they can’t do something YET doesn’t mean they won’t be able to do it someday. With mistakes, patience, practice, hard work, and a little help from the Magical Yet, they can keep working toward their goals. ✨

This companion is packed with reading comprehension, writing, word work, and math activities that make it easy to extend the story throughout your week. Students can also create their own adorable Magical Yet craft and receive a poetry bookmark with a little pom-pom “Magical Yet” gift. 💫

It’s such a meaningful story for talking about goals, perseverance, making mistakes, and believing in yourself during those first weeks of school.

🍎🏃 Take your students on a trip to the APPLE ORCHA 🍎🏃 Take your students on a trip to the APPLE ORCHARD without ever leaving the classroom! 🍏

This Apple Orchard Movement Brain Break gets students up, moving, and learning at the same time! Students will get those wiggles out while practicing identifying numbers shown with ten frames and doing fun animal movements along the way. 🙌

Simply project the slides and GO! When students see a ten frame, they say the number. When an animal appears, they complete the movement while staying in their own space. It’s the perfect mix of math practice + movement and makes a great brain break when your students need to reset and refocus!

Use it during your apple unit, math block, morning meeting, indoor recess, or anytime your first graders need to MOVE! 🍎

The best part? Your students will be begging to play again! ❤️
