🎃➕ Need an EASY way to sneak in daily math review 🎃➕ Need an EASY way to sneak in daily math review this October? 🍂✏️

My October Daily Math Review gives your students a little bit of meaningful math practice EVERY DAY without adding a bunch of prep to your plate! 🙌
Students will review important first grade skills including addition and subtraction to 10, addition and subtraction word problems, 2D shapes, number bond fact families, number patterns, number bonds, and more.

And you can use it YOUR way! ❤️ Choose the black-and-white printable worksheets for morning work, independent practice, or homework OR project the digital Google Slides and complete them together as a class.

I love daily review because students get repeated practice with skills they’ve already learned instead of practicing them once and forgetting them. Just a few minutes each day can make such a difference! 🧠✨

With 22 digital slides AND 22 printable practice pages, your October math review is DONE! 🎉

Perfect for morning work, math warm-ups, independent practice, centers, early finishers, or a quick daily assessment.
🎃 One page a day. Lots of skills reviewed. NO complicated prep!

🕷️ Are you trying to love spiders?! 😳🕸️ I’m Tryin 🕷️ Are you trying to love spiders?! 😳🕸️

I’m Trying to Love Spiders by Bethany Barton is HILARIOUS, and it sneaks in so many fascinating spider facts along the way! It’s one of my favorite books for getting students excited about nonfiction learning while still enjoying a super entertaining story.

I use this book to teach facts and supporting details, and this companion is packed with activities to make that skill meaningful and fun. Students will learn new spider facts, build vocabulary, distinguish between fact and opinion, analyze text features, make connections, write about spiders, and more!

Of course, we have to add a little hands-on fun too! Students can create a Spider Facts & Opinions craft that makes an adorable October display. 🕷️🕸️

If you’re teaching spiders, facts and details, informational text, or fact vs. opinion this fall, this is such a fun read-aloud to add to your plans!

🍂🐿️ Who is stealing all of Squirrel’s leaves?! 🍁 🍂🐿️ Who is stealing all of Squirrel’s leaves?! 🍁

The Leaf Thief by Alice Hemming is one of my FAVORITE fall read-alouds! Squirrel is convinced someone is stealing his beautiful leaves… only to discover the real culprit is the WIND! And that ending with the missing grass gets me every time. 😂

This book companion is packed with reading comprehension, writing, vocabulary, word work, and math activities to turn this adorable story into days of meaningful fall learning. Students can practice sequencing, beginning-middle-end, main idea and details, problem and solution, character analysis, text evidence, point of view, visualizing, and more!

And you know I can’t resist a cute craft! 🐿️🍁 Students can create their own Squirrel with leaves and pair it with the bulletin board saying “We Are UN-BE-LEAF-ABLE!” How cute would that be hanging in your classroom this fall?!

If The Leaf Thief is already on your fall read-aloud list, this makes planning the activities to go with it EASY! 🍂❤️

👻 The ghosts are MISSING… and your students have t 👻 The ghosts are MISSING… and your students have to figure out where they went! 🎃🔎

Halloween night has arrived and skeletons, spiders, bats, mummies, and even Dracula are ready for the fun—but there’s one BIG problem… there are NO GHOSTS! 👻 Where did they go?!

In this Mystery of the Missing Ghosts Mini ELA Mystery, students become detectives as they complete six phonics and grammar challenges to collect the clues they need to crack the case!

Students will practice action verbs, adjectives, nouns, syllables, spelling CCVC words, and spelling short vowel Floss words as they work their way through the mystery. Once all six activities are complete, they’ll use their answers and clue numbers to uncover the secret message and discover what really happened at the Ghost Gala! 👻🎉

You can use this as an independent activity or partner challenge, or make it even more exciting by setting up six mystery stations around the classroom. Students rotate through the stations, complete each challenge, gather their clues, and solve the mystery!

If your students love my full-size Solve the Mysteries, they’re going to LOVE these bite-sized versions. They have the feel of a Who Dunnit + Escape Room, but they’re designed specifically for first graders and are completely NO PREP! 🙌

Perfect for October literacy centers, phonics and grammar review, small groups, early finishers, Fun Friday, or Halloween week!

🎃 Solve the skills. Gather the clues. Crack the case!
