Today Wyatt came over to make dirt in a cup Easter

Today Wyatt came over to make dirt in a cup Easter addition for dessert tomorrow. They started by making the pudding and letting that set up. Then they worked on crushing the Oreos. (That may have been their favorite part!) Next they finished the pudding by adding and mixing some Cool Whip. They each added two scoops of pudding to their cup and then topped it with their Oreo dirt. Finally, they added a gummy worm and placed in the dirt. They put their Peep marshmallow upright so it looked like it was eating the worm. By the looks of the finished cup, I think it was a success.

This is a fun treat to do with your class for springtime or Earth Day. In addition to making this fun treat with the booklet, your students can also predict, survey, graph, sequence and do a little math with their data. In addition, there is a fun dirt in cup craft, class graphing tools, and differentiated writing ideas. Also included is a donation letter for parents and mini recipe cards to send home and share with their families.

Peep Day is so much fun to do especially right aro

Peep Day is so much fun to do especially right around Easter or Springtime. These centers can be used for an entire week or be completed as a fun Peep day in your classroom. There is an original story included called Max the Bunny with activities to go along with it. In addition students will work on other literature extension, math activities, and adopting a Peep. #peepday #springactivities #themedays #tpt

I am so excited to share this Springtime or BUNNY

I am so excited to share this Springtime or BUNNY CHALLENGE I created for your students! You will begin this activity with a short video that will challenge your students to solve the case of the missing marshmallow bunnies. They will have to find out who took them, when they took them, and where they put them. To solve the case, students will work to complete 9 different task cards. The task cards are based on first grade standards in both math and language arts. Once they complete a task card, they will receive a clue. After they have all 9 clues, they will be able to solve the mystery. As a fun culmination, there are awards and headbands. There is a fun little story ending to explain what happened. This goodie comes with a bonus writing, snack, and math extension. You can make Peep candy s’mores, do a taste and graph activity, or design and write about a new marshmallow candy flavor. This is similar to the who dunnit activities. There is no mention of Easter in this resource just marshmallow bunnies.

Who can resist an adorable bunny rabbit? This nonfiction unit is filled with activities to teach your students all about rabbits, bucks, does, and kittens. Students will work on the reading informational text standards. I love to learn about rabbits in the Spring as we discuss how the weather changes and how many animal babies are born. It is also great to teach during the week of Easter without touching on the holiday. This unit includes a mini reader that will teach them all about rabbits with a matching colorful book with real photos. This real book can be projected via the digital google link, downloaded as a powerpoint or shared as a pdf. You could even print it and put it in your classroom library. There are so many fun comprehension activities to complete after you read the story. You could do the included research project, make the fun rabbit craft, or complete the word work and writing activities.
