Students will read the 14 page mini reader with nonfiction text features like a table of contents, headings, glossary, and bold vocabulary words. A matching colorful book with real photos is also included and can be projected digitally, shared as a PowerPoint, or printed for your classroom library. As we head back to school, the very first unit I t As we head back to school, the very first unit I teach in math is NUMBER SENSE! 🔢 It is so important to build a strong foundation at the beginning of the year, and this first unit in my GUIDED MASTER Math curriculum makes it engaging, hands-on, and fun for students. Students practice counting objects, making tallies, using ten frames, and working with a number grid to 120 through rotation-based learning that keeps them actively involved the entire time. After a quick whole-group mini lesson, students rotate through hands-on activities, games, small group with the teacher, technology, enrichment, and review. Everything is included from lesson plans and centers to assessments and even a fun craft to wrap up the unit!
