“The resource provided structure, as my students new to get out their 'Butterfly Books' each day during our Science block. There were pages to provide information followed up by a review and text-to-self connection. My students loved coloring the images and comparing themselves to caterpillars and butterflies. They were able to take home their entire journal at the end of the year and teach their grownups and siblings all about the butterflies. If that wasn't enough, this resource also included extensions to Eric Carle's "The Very Hungry Caterpillar" which provided engaging activities for the days when our caterpillars needed us to stay away. All very developmentally appropriate with minimal writing (which was perfect for my crew last year)! I would recommend this resource to K, 1, or 2 teachers.”

“I use this every year with my butterfly unit! It is the best packet I have found to go along with the unit full of information, but not too much that it overwhelms. I like to pick through to get the sheets that I want and make a book for the kids to go through.”
